This is a sculpture representing a large size medieval palfrey horse. In the Middle Ages, Palfrey was the name given to tamed or saddle horses used by ladies, and on some occasions also by kings and princes to make their majestic entrances into towns and cities. Worth highlighting are the golden arabesques in the decoration of the blanket.
